Introduction
Blastomussa is a favorite genus of coral for many reef hobbyists. There are only two members in this genus, Blastomussa wellsi, which have relatively large flat polyps and Blastomussa merleti which has phaceloid polyps. These two species are immensely popular right now. Blastomussa are forgiving and prosper best without expensive lights and powerful pumps. Additionally, many Blastomussa have some bright colors including, red, pink, maroon, green, blue, and purple.
