Physical Description
Cerith snails have an elongated spiral shell that is usually black or brown in color. The shell is also covered in tiny white dots.

Behavior
Sustains by feeding on film algae that grow on live rock and aquarium glass (in case of captive specimens). They often like to bury in the substrate for extended periods of time. Some sleep in the sand during the day and climb the glass and rock at night.
Feeding
Feeds on film algae and diatoms mostly. Usually does not need any supplemental feeding.
