Help:Introduction
From ReefPedia

Welcome to ReefPedia!
This site is a collaborative tool where everyone is encouraged to edit the pages.
The idea is that this is not a collection of articles written by any one, or even a small group of, people- rather, this site is the product of an entire community of reef aquarium enthusiasts working together to create a body of knowledge never before collected in one place.
So again... we want, need and appreciate your help by editing articles anywhere and everywhere you feel you have something to add!
How do I edit?
Almost every page here can be edited by anyone, logged in or not. There are a few exceptions, such as the Main Page, Category:Fish and Category:Corals pages. That's because these are portal pages that don't need to be edited.
- When you're on a page you want to edit, look at the top of the page for the "edit" tab. Click that.
- The page will reload and you will be able to edit as you see fit.
- When finished, you can either click "show preview" or "save" at the bottom of the page. If you choose to show the preview, you can scroll down and make further edits before saving.
Note: Previews MUST be saved or the changes will be thrown out!
What if I add something incorrect?
Don't worry about it! No one can be perfectly correct 100% of the time. That's why we depend on a community of hobbyists to work together, correcting typos as well is errors in information. Just enter what you think is right, and if it's incorrect someone will be along to correct it.
Do I have to add an entire article?
Heck no!!! Add as much as you want, wherever you want. We build these articles together, so if there's something you don't know, just leave it blank. Feel free to add as little or as much as you want.
I'm lost. Help!
Most people find wikis like this one very easy to edit. However, there are some more advanced functions and formatting you may run across. If you ever have any questions or problems at all, please Contact us!!!
